We'd seen the destruction and misery from the ground. After going on a surreal boat ride through the streets of New Orleans, by truck, car and by foot and seeing whole neighborhoods wiped out by the storm there was really only one other way to see it, from the air!

In the midst of sad events we go to do something fun, something I've always wanted to do, fly a BLACKHAWK helicopter.

This 6 million dollar machine took us from the airfield in Baton Rouge over New Orleans to shoot the flooded areas from above. It really gave you a new sense of how much of the city was under water....
