paperless...

Illegal immigration is still a big topic here. Today hundreds of thousands of protesters across the country demanded that undocumented immigrants get a chance to live the American dream, legally.
New estimates say there are about 12 million illegal immigrants in the US, most of whom are from Mexico. The borders are mostly wide open and there is no stopping the illegal crossings. If you're caught, you simply sent back, only to try again later that day...

We met with a family living in New Jersey without any legal papers such as Social Security or ID. The family crossed the Mexican border, by swimming across a river, 15 years ago. Now their kids go to school, they have a 2 bedroom apartment, cell phones, both parents work illegally but say they pay taxes. The youngest son was born here and is therefore a US citizen, with all the perks. He is going to Mexico this summer to visit his grandmom, alone, since he's the only one allowed back in the country...
