Yesterday the US Senate confirmed a record $447 Billion (yes, BILLION) military funding bill for 2007. A downpayment of $70 billion will directly go to the wars in Irak and Afghanistan, which is estimated to hit $110 Billion this coming budget year.
Congress has now approved a total of $507 billion for the wars, most of it ($379 billion) going to the Irak war costing roughly $8 billion a month. (Source: CNN)
