Today I visited one of the most depressing places I've been to. Flint, Michigan. This is where GM had it's major automobile operation and in 1960 some 200 000 people prospered here. Now a little more than 100 000 are left, and the major operations seem to be liqour stores and strip clubs. While driving along some places look like New Orleans. Boarded up houses and trash everywhere. On certain streets more than half the houses are just abandoned. Sad to see a once thriving city be left to fall apart.
