is there a limit...?

Don't know if I posted this earlier but I've decided to stay for another year in NYC working for tv4. As everyone knows New York is insanely expensive, in every way. A couple of days ago I got a letter from my doorman. The owners of the building asked me to renew my lease. There was a rent increase of $135 a month. The TV4 office had an increase of $600!! a month. We both got the same response from our respective landlords: "It´s the market"...
