The swedish King and Queen are here on an official visit. I am waiting, with a friend of mine whos a still photographer, outside where they're staying. I am there cause its my day off, weather is nice, and I have nothing to do. We're sitting on the steps accross the street. Sure enough we were approached by the US Secret Service for the "random check" but very "manditory check".
An hour later, when they're done going through all our IDs, presscards and have run my drivers licence with the NYPD; we were cleared. 10 minutes later the King and Queen come out get in a car and drive off. The were visible for 20 seconds. 1 frame made the newspaper. I enjoyed a day in the sun, good coffee and talking to the secret service.
